Introducing GAIN, Generative AI News Rundown
New YouTube Show from Synthedia on the top generative AI stories of the week
Synthedia was created as an experiment, and we hold to that ethos in all that we do. On Friday, Eric Schwartz, the head writer at Voicebot.ai, and I sat down to discuss the top news of the week. What a week it was!
GAIN is the generative AI news rundown for the week. It was broadcast live on YouTube and through LinkedIn, and we had a number of people join us in the chat as we discussed the news of the week. We also have a recording for you posted on YouTube (click the image above).
The easiest way to get notified of future GAIN live streams will be to subscribe to the YouTube channel and follow me on LinkedIn. Our next GAIN will take place at 12 noon EST on Friday, February 17th. The planned duration for these episodes will be 20-30 minutes.
***Note, we had some audio issues with the videos we shared during the stream. You can skip those parts. Links for the videos with time stamps are available below. I recommend you check them out. Each offers useful context.
Gen AI News Rundown, Feb 10th
A lot happened this week in the generative AI and synthetic media. The big news was Google's ChatGPT competitor Bard and Microsoft's debut of what we like to call BingGPT. We also saw schools banning ChatGPT and David Guetta show off an Eminem deepfake. The show starts off looking at some OpenAI data that you are likely to find interesting.
We did have some audio issues, as mentioned above, in the live stream for the videos we shared. You can see those video segments through YouTube links below.
5:02 - Microsoft https://lnkd.in/gid_Gq4v
14:00 - Google https://lnkd.in/gZ6P8kCq
29:40 - David Guetta: https://lnkd.in/ghtNjsns
We will also add GAIN episodes to the Voicebot Podcast if you prefer listening. That should be available tomorrow on your favorite podcast player.
Let me know what you think.
That Google link above goes to an ad for their care studio. I was expecting a segment about Bard.
