Yes. It's dumb. But, you should fear it. This is what happens when people just want to oppose something. They will put forward every objection even if they are contradictory or mutually exclusive. This practice betrays one or both of two things: 1) They don't understand what they are talking about enough to make a cogent argument for their position and likely not fully understand their own position; 2) They are against something and their only objective is to undermine it.
