Hey Bret! Thanks for the write up. I'm building in health with generative AI now. Australia conventionally sits behind the USA and the UK in terms of tech adoption and primary care as a whole tends to lag due to a number of micro- and macro- causes. Surprisingly we're seeing the uptake of generative AI in primary care start to scratch the surface primarily for automated note-taking and patient triage pre-consultation. Excited to see more adoption over time!
Thanks for the added context. I still think healthcare will lag in adoption, but probably is not as far behind as most people think. There are a lot of low-risk use cases that immediately deliver value. What is your solution?
Yeah agreed. To your point about use cases, if you haven't seen this a16z specific to healthcare is excellent - https://a16z.com/commercializing-ai-in-healthcare-the-jobs-to-be-done/. Our primary product is a personal health assistant/co-pilot for patients with chronic diseases. My thesis is that our right to exist in this space will depend on us winning SMBs, providers so this is where we are starting by leveraging LLMs for workflow optimisation to save time and boost revenue.
